Terms of Use

These terms apply to Alignment Check, published by Decisive Leader, including the iOS and Android app and its online service. By using Alignment Check, you agree to them.
1. What Alignment Check does
Alignment Check helps two people answer the same questions privately, choose what to share, compare shared answers side by side, and optionally run an AI comparison with shared follow-ups. Checks, private answers, sharing, and side-by-side comparisons work without a membership.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Alignment Check, and you must be at least 13. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. Don't use Alignment Check to harass anyone, to share unlawful content, or to interfere with the service.
3. Your content
What you write is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you: keeping your drafts, showing shared answers to the other person once you both confirm, and running AI comparisons you start. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
4. AI comparisons
AI comparisons are optional and run only on answers both of you chose to share. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. It isn't legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Review results together and use your own judgment before acting on them.
5. Memberships and subscriptions
- A Decisive Leader membership adds AI comparisons each month: Essentials includes 10, Plus includes 25, and a linked Adaptive Pro membership includes 10. Each comparison allows up to 8 follow-ups. Allotments reset each month, and unused comparisons don't carry over.
- If more than one membership applies, Alignment Check uses the one with the highest monthly allotment. Memberships don't stack.
- The person who starts an AI comparison uses their own allotment. The other person doesn't need a membership.
- Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google through your store account, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose. The price is shown before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Restore purchases finds Alignment Check subscriptions on the same store account, for the Alignment Check account that bought them.
- If you already have a Decisive Leader membership through Adaptive or Floor, connect it in the app instead of buying again.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Alignment Check available, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, limit, or discontinue features, or suspend accounts that misuse the service. You can stop using Alignment Check and delete your account at any time.
7. Disclaimers and limits
Alignment Check is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
8. App Store terms
If you got Alignment Check from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and Decisive Leader, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use must also follow the App Store's usage rules.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use Alignment Check after that means you accept the updated terms.
